Disc golf is a fun and exciting sport that is enjoyed by people of all ages. One of the most important pieces of equipment for disc golfers is a good net. A good net can help you improve your game by catching your disc and preventing it from going into the rough or out of bounds. In this article, we will take a look at some and find you the best disc golf net for your needs!

Best Disc Golf Nets – Quick Look

Best Disc Golf Nets

With quite a few different types of disc golf training nets available on the market, it can be difficult to find a net that is just right for your needs. With different sizes, shapes, weights, and features available on the market, it can be quite overwhelming. Thankfully, we’re going to break down exact which are the best nets, what to look out for, and how to properly use your net!

Revolve Disc Golf Nets

Revolve Disc Golf Nets is a relatively new disc golf training practice net supplier, but they are simply the best. They are one of the only companies on our list that create nets that are specifically for disc golf. The vast majority of companies that advertise disc golf nets, are simply golf practice nets. These nets are fine, but they aren’t the best solution for disc golfers because they are often way too small and flimsy.

Thankfully, that’s where Revolve Disc Golf Nets step in! They have designed disc golf nets that are built by disc golfers for disc golfers! Their nets are 20 feet wide and 10 feet tall which gives you plenty of net to aim for, which allows you to have realistic throws into the net without having to worry about missing the net.

This means you can practice game-like throws in your backyard, indoors, or wherever you want! Along with this, these nets are extremely portable and come with their own carry bag which means you can take it on the go, or simply leave it in the trunk for ever you need it! The overall weight with the carry bag is around 20 lbs which means you can easily bring the storage bag with you for a round, or simply leave it in your car.

The fiberglass poles are extremely to setup and faired well even in windy conditions, which wasn’t the case with other nets I tried. It allowed me to setup the net in minutes, and I was able to practice drives efficiently

Overall, Revolve Disc Golf Nets are the best disc golf nets on the market, and none of the competitors come anywhere close. They are our number one recommendation, and we almost don’t even want to share any other competitors, because none of them come close to Revolve Disc Golf! If you are serious about your disc golf practice, then this is what you need because it’s the best net on the market!

Nova Microdermabrasion Net

The 2nd suggestion we have on our list is a cheap and useable option, but it definitely isn’t our first choice. This is simply a practice golf net, which can do the job as a disc golf net, but it really isn’t optimal. It’s quite small and flimsy and it really doesn’t allow you to throw your discs at full speed or from any type of distance since it’s rather small.

That being said, here’s our quick summary of this net.

The Nova Microdermabrasion Net is made with durable materials which from our quick tests were able to keep up with the demands of disc golf throws. It also has a professional design that includes a corner-shaped structure and updated longer ground stakes for extra stability and helps to keep the net in the ground when throwing discs into it. This net also has a unique tilt angle that attempts to keep the discs from bouncing too far away, but it features a rather small practice area of 10ft W x 7ft H.

The net is also portable and easy to set up, and can be used both indoors and outdoors.

Overall, this net will technically work for disc golf. It does it’s job of physically stopping discs as you throw it into the net.

That being said, it’s really not worth it, and it’s worth to spend a little bit more money on the Revolve Disc Golf Net since it’s built for disc golf rather than golf. Overall, I recommend simply saving a bit more money, and purchasing Revolve’s disc golf net.

Why Should I Use A Disc Golf Net?

A disc golf net is beneficial because it allows players to practice their throws and improve their skills in a controlled environment and it allows you to do it for just a few minutes or for as long as you’d like. The net provides a target for players to aim at, allowing them to work on their accuracy and distance control. Additionally, the net can catch the disc, eliminating the need to go retrieve the disc after each throw, which allows for a more efficient and uninterrupted practice session. The net also provides a level of safety as it reduces the risk of the disc hitting someone or damaging property.

If you look at it simply, with a disc golf net, you can easily throw hundreds of throws per hour because you only have to walk a few feet to collect your discs. If you don’t have a disc golf net you are spending the majority of your time walking to collect your discs rather than actually throwing.

This means with a disc golf net you are training quite a bit more efficiently, which means you’ll really be able to lock down your technique and get it perfected, so the next time you are playing a round you’ll feel much more confident and ready to compete! It’s time to get a disc golf net and start playing disc golf!

How Do You Use A Disc Golf Net?

To use a disc golf net, you will first need to set it up in an appropriate location. This typically involves assembling the frame of the net and attaching the netting to the frame. Some disc golf nets are designed to be easy to set up and take down, while others may require more time and effort.

Once the net is set up, you are ready to begin practicing. You can practice different types of throws, such as backhand, forehand, and overhand throws. It is recommended to start with a short distance and gradually increase it as you get more comfortable with the net. You can also practice different types of shots, such as hyzers, anhyzers, and rollers.

It is also important to be aware of your surroundings and make sure the area is safe to use the net. Make sure the net is set up in an area that is free from obstacles and potential hazards and make sure you have enough space to throw your disc safely.

When you are finished practicing, you can take down the net and store it in the included carrying case if it’s provided.

In summary, using a disc golf net involves:

  • Setting up the net in an appropriate location.
  • Start practicing different types of throws and shots
  • Pay attention to your surroundings to make sure it’s safe to use the net
  • When finished, take down the net and store it properly.
